Spring break fun!

It was nice to have a little spring break this year. We decided not to go anywhere this year since it was both Michael's and My first years on the job. Michael felt he couldn't take off this soon. So I got to enjoy spending time with my little Jacob. We had all sorts of fun, despite the undependable weather in Indiana.

On Wednesday, We visited one of my High school friends, (Ashley) and her little man (Evan). Jacob and Evan are about 6 months apart. It is fun to see them play together. There were only a few little disagreements over toys

It will be nice to have the summer off. I am sure Jacob and Evan will get to know each other even more this summer, as Ashley and I catch up.

You couldn't tell Jacob that we didn't go somewhere sunny over break. He woke up early one morning and thought he would catch some rays on the golf course.

A big accomplishment over spring break is that Jacob wore big boy pants almost all week. Even in public. He only had a couple accidents. I do have to say that one of them was after he had went all day in big boy pants and was less than 5 minutes in daddy's care and had an accident. A little side note, was he had a couple friends over and was a little distracted. The other was on a rainy day and I think he had no hope. At least it is a good start.
Okay I have to confess a little story. So Jacob's big boy underware have all kinds of little balls on them, Baseballs, Footballs, soccerballs, basketballs. He thinks they are really cool (and I have to admit they are pretty cute). Well I had told Jacob to remind him that he wasn't in his diaper not to get his little balls wet. Well it only occured to me in a public place when I told Jacob this trying to convince him to go to the bathroom and Michael looked at me in shock, that this little saying may not be appropriate since it could easily be mistaken. I am thankful for a Husband that keeps me in line. If it were not for his reaction I would still be telling Jacob not to get his little balls wet.

catching up

So I am a little behind. There has been so much going on, I don't know where to start. (which is probably why I haven't sat down to update you).

At the End of February, My family met up with my uncle Chris, Aunt Rachel, Malachi, and Ruth and went to Wana Waves. For Christmas in 2007, Grandma and Grandpa Sherck gave us gift certificates to stay at the hotel and go to the water park. We didn't get a chance to use them last year, but we made sure to use them this year. Uncle Chris, Aunt Rachel. Malachi, and Ruth also received the gift and used theirs the same time. Even though we weren't traveling from Indy to use this gift, and we were closer to home, it was nice to get away. And boy was it fun!!
Here is daddy helping me across the Lilly pads. I tried to reach the net, but I am just a little small still. I have to say I was pretty good.
Malachi and Uncle Chris, after they just got off the big water slide. I even rode the big water slide with Daddy and Mommy (at different times). I was a little scared at first, because most of it is in the dark, but then wanted to go over and over again. Mommy was very nervous letting me the first time.

This was part of the play area for kids, however this water was cold so I didn't enjoy playing on it as much.

Cheesing with Daddy

This was the kiddie slide in the younger kids area, and boy did I use it. I was timid at first, but it didn't take me long to ditch my parents hands and slide down it over and over again. Everyone was laughing at me because I kept saying, "1 more, 1 more"
We had a blast. I loved playing with my cousins Malachi and Ruth. Ruth and I jumped on the beds and the bunk beds. I didn't want to go anywhere without them. We celebrated Uncle Chris's Birthday and Uncle Brian even came and stayed with us.

Playing with Grandma

I love playing with my grandma. For some reason I decided to climb in the dogs cage and guess what Grandma followed me in. We were acting silly.
Funny note: These PJ's I got for Christmas and they are my favorite, however after being washed they are a little small, but I find them anyways and want to wear them even if my belly hangs out. Mommy and Daddy try to hide them, but I can't let that, They are my Handy Manny PJ's.

Birthday fun

Jacob Turned 2. Saturday, his actual birthday we just let him open a few presents and tried to make the day special, but on Sunday we had a big Doodlebops party.
He was so in awe to find the house decorated with doodlebops when he woke up from his nap. It was so fun to see the expression on his face. We mainly just had our family, but invited a few of his little buddies over for the fun.

His doodlebops cake- It didn't turn out how I envisioned it and I was kinda disappointed, but it tasted yummy and Jacob didn't seem to mind

opening gifts- He enjoyed all his gifts,
and it makes play time even more enjoyable with all his new toys
We were also grateful for new character PJ's, He got some Handy Manny one's for Christmas and they shrunk a little, yet he wants to wear them all the time

Cole was about the only one who would were the nice doodlebops hats,
Noone really knew what the doodlebops were except Jacob and our Family

Bo, drinking his juice box from his crazy straw, while being entertained by the doodlebops for the first time. ( I didn't plan on us watching the doodlebops during the party- but we were entertaining the kids till Uncle Chris and Aunt Rachel could arrive so Jacob could open up his gifts)

This is Jacob's gift from Mommy- and he loves it!! He opened this up on his actual birthday

WE are ready for T ball

His Uncle Matt and Uncle Brian Spoiled him with this new toy. He loves to drive it

Here is a little video of our party. The funny thing is I had taken the advice from a Mommy's website on a 2yr old/Preschool party ideas. They said to put on music (we played a Doodlebops music video- even though you can't hear it) and give the kids streamers on sticks to Dance. I have to say Jacob thought it was cool, the others well- It wasn't so much a hit. It could be they just had no clue what do do with the doodlebops. this was the first time they viewed these Crazy threesome dressed up in Orange, Blue, and Pink.

It was fun anyway! I can't believe Jacob is two. Boy, It is so much fun being his Mommy!

Circus fun

I GOT TO GO TO THE CIRCUS!!!!
I woke up Saturday Morning, I could tell it was a different morning. I wasn't sure what was going on, but I knew it would be Fun. And Boy, was it. Mommy and Daddy took me to Fort Wayne to see the Shriner's Circus. We had great seats, 4th row, seats 1, 2, and 3. The third seat we saved for Vicki. She has never been to the circus and Mommy promised her when we were living in Indy, that She would take Vicki. I was glad to have her along. We both got to enjoy the circus together for the first time.
The pictures do not display how much fun it was, but here are a few.

Of course you have to have the elephants

the tight rope walkers- that little boy is so small My Mom would be freaking out if that were me, I wonder what their mom's are thinking

I kept clapping, They were so good

Our family at the circus- I really enjoyed it,
but I just smiled and I wanted the camera

Posing with Vicki- My "cheese" face
The virgin Circus goers with the clowns
These guys had to be worn out at the end, they had multiple acts. Can you tell how good our seats were? If they fell, they would have been in our laps.
Can you guess where we ate Lunch?
This was my first time to Chuckie Cheese. It was busy, but so much fun. It kept me distracted as my nap was a little delayed.

Skeeball ws our favorite

Just practicing driving with Daddy.
It was such a fun day, but the best part was I got to spend the entire day with My Mommy and Daddy!

So Cute

I can't believe how big Jacob is getting. I am amazed each day about how much he is learning and the things he knows.
The other day, Jacob and Grandma Sherck were playing. Jacob got an art station for Christmas and absolutely loves it. They decided they would color and paint, etc. Well Grandma Sherck was giving ideas for Jacob to draw, and she said"Lets draw Caine (the family dog)." So Grandma Sherck starts drawing her picture of a dog on paper to look up and see Jacob drawing ON Caine, the dog. He was just following what he thought was her instructions. What is even cuter is when Grandma Sherck was telling the rest of us the story, Jacob got so excited he had to show us his Picture on the Dog. OH, Poor Caine. Needless to say it was pretty colorful on the white fur. How Cute!

.................................................Lots of Fun in the outdoors, Sledding!

I have two really cool uncles that like to spoil me and show me what boys like to do. We just don't tell Mommy all of it.
We went sledding and when I went down with Brian I got a little on my face,
so I said HO, HO, HO
Here is my Cheesy smile.
It is a little cold out here, but not enought to make me stop having fun

Uncle Matt has shown me how to throw snowballs, I was trying to throw one at Mommy as she stood on the deck taking my picture. I missed her but I got her later, as well as Uncle Matt, Uncle Brian, Grandma, Grandpa, and Daddy. I will open up he sliding doors get a handful and throw it at anyone inside the house.

a quick picture with Uncle Matt before sledding down the hill
