A story with a sad ending

This week seemed like not much has happened, but a there are a few things to inform you about. I have found I realy like cookies. I make a big mess, but They are very yummy. I like to kick my feet and smile really big when mommy gets a cookie out. She calls me her cookie monster. Do I really look like a monster in this picture? Then Tuesday Mommy took me to meet some new friends. Went to see Mommy's friend Sandy from work and her kids. We met Isabelle. The newest edition to the Burnette family. We have been praying for the Burnettes for a while, as it has been a long process for them in adopting their 4th child. We are so happy Isabelle is home with them and the long process is over. I had so much fun meeting them. They also have a lot of cool toys. Abby, Isabelle's sister has a lot of energy like me and was a great host. Thanks Sandy for letting us visit.
Finally I have to end with some sad news. Daddy broke his leg in two places last Sunday playing Volleyball. Mommy and I are telling people it was playing kick boxing on the WII. I feel so bad for daddy, and for me too. This means Daddy can't pick me up as much. But he is doing much better.
Okay so Mommy said I can't end like that. Here is a little clip for you to enjoy. I am such a morning person (unlike my parents) and sometimes I just get the giggle bug at breakfast. I had it this day, and mommy found it when she sneezed. Hope you enjoy.

It is a little long. You are more than welcome to end it early. It is just the same thing over and over.

First trip to the Museum

So mommy took me to a special place today, the Indianapolis Children's Museum. I had so much fun. I learned a lot, and explored even more. I hope I get to go again someday soon. We spent many hours there, I even missed my afternoon nap ( I really didn't mind), yet I didn't get to see everything. We had great company as Vicki, a friend of mommy's from work, met us there. Next time, I want to take daddy and show him all the cool things. We took way too many pictures. Here are a few to show you our fun.Me with Curious George's hat
( The curious George special edition section was so much fun)

Like my Glasses?

My favorite place was the preschool play zone.

There was a tumbling area. It was much fun exploring.

Mom, what is this stuff?
Vicki, Look at all those balls rolling everywhere
Yes, I had to try and put everything in my mouth or stick my tongue on all the windows.
Mom says she is sure it makes her look like a great pediatric nurse

Who's curious and who's George?

Who's the fish in the deep blue sea?
Mommy's thrilled about me driving
Indy 500, Here I come I love discovering!

Sorry about the so few pictures. Don't worry, we have more. I can't wait to go back. After such a fun day I am exhausted and need to go to bed, the nap in the car ride wasn't long enough. Thanks Mommy and Vicki!

Proof

I thought I would update you. I am getting really good at typing on the computer. Just ask my Uncle Brian. He was missing a shift key for a while.
Anyways, I am writing to tell you I didn't lie. Here is my proof! I am walking!! I am a little scared though. It takes me a while to get up my confidence and I pretty much prefer to crawl. Right now it seems to be a much more effective means of transportation. I am not very good about stopping yet. Infact, the other day I had confidence to walk, and I made it from point A to point B and thought to myself " You did a great job." So I decided to pick up a toy and carry it back with me. I didn't get very far when I fell over and hit my head on the corner wall molding. OUCH! I had a little goose egg, but my hair pretty much covered it. It is gone now. Thank goodness, I must look good to impress the chicks!Walking to Mommy

Uncle B, Here I come!

just some more pics

So I thought I would just show you some pictures we took at Christmas time. Uncle Matt and Aunt Lindsey got all the grown ups jerseys for Christmas so they thought they had to take a family picture with them. They got Malachi and I autographs from real colts players. I got Gary Bracket's. This other picture is what us cousins gave the grandparents for Christmas. Aren't we the greatest Grandkids ever!

Christmas Fun

Santa baby!!!

So you must be wondering what I thought of my first Christmas. Well I thought it was AWESOME!!!! We started celebrating Christmas the second weekend in December with the Lehman side and ended the celebration the weekend after Christmas with the Shercks and visiting Great Grandma and Grandpa Allen. I must have been good because Santa brought me a bunch of presents or I am just too cute that the grandparents and my aunts and uncle like to spoil me.

Mommy had wrapped our presents early and put them under the tree. It was so tempting I tried to get into them every day. As you can see, because I was all dressed up and got home from Church I thought it was time to open the presents. My parents said I couldn't open them yet. Mommy and daddy were both scheduled to work the 23rd and the 24th, so Grandma and Grandpa Sherck (along with uncle Brian) came down to babysit me on Christmas Eve. I got a special visitor (no not from Santa- I'm still a little scared of him) but from My aunt Brittany. This is the first time I met her. She is daddy's sister and lives in North Carolina. I had so much fun meeting her. I included a picture from her visit.

Then Christmas morning I had to wait until mommy came home from work to open presents. I started to tear the paper, but that got boring. I mostly enjoyed the boxes and ripping the tissue paper in the boxes. I really enjoyed having my grandparents there with mommy and daddy. Mommy got an additional present, because she got called off work Christmas day. So after only sleeping 2 hours we loaded up the car and headed to Malachi and Ruth's house (Uncle Chris and Aunt Rachel's) where we had lunch with all my Aunts and Uncles from the Sherck clan. We didn't have our actual family Christmas with presents and all because it was a last moment thing due to mommy's work schedule.

Then on the 29th We opened presents at Grandma and Grandpa Shercks were I got this cool sled, an Elmo steering wheel and many other things I enjoy. We headed to Great Grandma Shercks house that evening where I got even more gifts. The next day we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa Evans(but I was sleeping- I had a small temperature and needed my rest) and then saw my Great Grandma and Grandpa Allen. I got a cool Elmo and an airplane that has a real propeller. I have had a great Christmas !

Besides, all the cool presents I got. I had a lot of fun seeing all my family members. Mommy and daddy say that it has taken a while for me to get adjusted to being at home again without all the extra people around. I feel so loved and love all of them. Mommy and daddy told me to multiply my love for them by 10000000000 and that is How much God loves us. That is why he sent his son over 2000 years ago as a little baby to save us. They say that is why we really celebrate Christmas. Isn't that cool!
