HAPPY EASTER!!

Happy Easter!!
I hope everyone had a great Easter. I sure did. I woke up and the Easter bunny had come. After a little bit of playing, I ate breakfast with my family and got ready for church. This is what I wore. I'm the one on the left if you don't know.
yeah, Daddy and I look a little similar
Our Family Easter picture
At Church, we found out the mommy didn't have to work tonight as planned. It was nice to find out so early because we then headed to Muncie unexpectantly to spend the rest of Easter with Family.
We got to muncie just in time to join Chris, Rachel, Grandma, Grandpa, Brian, and my cousins in the most untraditional Easter dinner, but boy was it yummy. We ate BWW's

After lunch, we went back the Uncle Chris's house and had an Easter egg hunt. It was so much fun. I like holding one egg at a time, and even though Daddy wanted me to put my eggs in the bag, I didn't want to. The grass was a little funny to walk on. I am sure I will get the hang of it this summer.

I had so much fun. We watched Basketball, and played, and played. I was so wore out, but I enjoyed it so much. I think Mommy and daddy were more wore out.

I hope you all enjoyed your Easter activities and rejoicing over our Risen Savior. How great it is that he died on the cross for each of us and then rose from the grave taking captive the sin that binds us. What a mighty God we serve!

Pre Easter activities

This Weekend Grandma and Grandpa came down with Uncle Brian for a sleepover in honor of Easter. We had fun Friday with Uncle Matt and Aunt Lindsey joining us at Pizza King. I really enjoyed it. We sat in a train booth and our drinks came on a little train and we watched the basketball games (too bad I couldn't enjoy the pizza), but I did enjoy what Mommy brought me. Good think I got to go out. I had a scary allergic reaction when Grandma and Grandpa first arrived. Mommy had picked me up from the babysitter and put me to bed for my nap (I was really tired after having an Easter party at the babysitters). Mommy noticed I had started coughing alot and just figured I picked something up. After my nap, mommy then noticed a little rash starting on my neck, then when she went to change my diaper noticed more of a rash around my diaper and armpits. She called the babysitter and found out for lunch I would only eat peanut butter and crackers. Oops. It was spreading fast and I started getting hives and restless and itching all over. She and Grandma put some of my steroid medication on my rash and gave me motrin. As it was getting worse, mommy called the Allergist to see if I could have benedryl. She would have given it to me sooner but I see the allergist tues and we were told not to take anything 7 days prior to our appointment. He said to go ahead and take benedryl. Thankfully after benedryl and a bath I was feeling much better. I still have a little scaring from my reaction. I guess I won't forget about my peanut allergy again. I can't wait to see the Allergist on Tuesday.
Then on Saturday we decided to celebrate Grandpa's birthday (which is on Easter) since Mommy has to work Easter and we wouldn't be able to be together. So We met halfway from our house and Uncle Chris and Aunt Rachel's. Since it was a little chilly for the park, we decided to meet at the mall. Not Grandpa's first choice but a place for us all to get together. At the Mall, Malachi, Ruth, and I got to meet the Easter bunny. It was so cool. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

I have the ones we bought which are much better,
but we are having problems, so sorry but these will have to do
Then when we were waiting for Uncle Matt and Daddy to arrive after working we found a cool area to play in. It was so much fun, I cried when Mommy took me out of there. I don't know why she would take me out, I mean her hospital was the one who sponsored the play area. What a great Hospital!

Malachi and I playing together
Thanks Uncle Chris and Aunt Rachel for helping me go down the slide.
I really loved it

Malachi thinking. Isn't he so funny!
I am flying!! I am such a good pilot! Here are the grandparents with me and Ruth!

Thank you so much! I had such a good weekend with you. Happy Birthday tomorrow Grandpa! Birthdays are great, I should know I just had one!

Hope you have a great Easter!!

Trouble

So the other day I heard Jacob playing in his bedroom after his morning nap. I quick went to the bathroom before going to get him out of his crib and I heard a big thud. I heard him laughing so I knew he was okay, but this is what I found. He had taken all the clothes out of the top drawer and when trying to pull the rest of it out well you can see what happened.

He was smiling and laughing until I left to get the camera and came back. He was then mad at me that I didn't take him with me.
Guess it is time to make some more room adjustments
He has also found a new toy to play with. He has been very curious of the foosball table ever since he could stand on this tippy toes and reach the handles. Anyways the other day Michael and I decided to let him play with us. We may regret it later as we are teaching him to stand on the coffee table but oh well.

"the ball isn't where I want it"
"I'm Winning"
Yes, they caught me

"Okay, I don't always run around in my diaper, but I have learned from my daddy that clothes just get in the way. At least I have a diaper on. I have been learning how to take that off too."

Can we say Spaghetti O's?

So Mommy says everyone has these pictures of themselves when they are little. I sure hope everyone does because, well, I really like spaghetti O's! I have been really picky in my eating lately. It is part of my new independence thing. I really liked my spaghetti o's this night, but funny how Mommy and Daddy tried to feed it to me the other day and I wouldn't even try it. I am just trying to show them who is boss. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!
Yes, They caught me. It wasn't messy at all.
I did get to take a bath afterwards. I really enjoyed that.

Our little Music Man

It amazes me how big Jacob is getting, and how much he gets into and understands. He has been so cute lately trying to mimic Michael and I . He got a guitar for his birthday and well he has to pull it out and play it when Michael is playing Guitar Hero. Here are a couple pictures to show you. "I am really good:
Notice I even have a doodlebop guitar, They are my new favorite thing"

"Battling against daddy. He is way too good for me"

Then he decides he has to take after Mommy and sing Karaoke. He is so cute. He walks around with the microphone like he is performing, but he likes to share too. He pretty much just sings one note, but it can be really short or Loooooooooong, or loud or soft.

singing a solo

Sharing with mommy

Our duet!

Really, I am just singing back up!

Oh what the music man we have at our house.
As you may have noticed in the first picture, Jacobs poor face was all broke out last week. It is so hard with his allergies. I can't wait to see the allergist. Good news though, It has cleared up this week.

year in review

I have been meaning to do this for a while. My hope was to do it on his birthday, but that didn't happen. At least I am doing it before he turns 13 mths. Anyways I thought I would just take a blog to dedicate to how big he has grown this past year. Each month we take a picture with a Bear that was given to us before he was born. Wow, has the bear gotten smaller. I know I have shown some of these pictures before, and some of these pictures aren't the best ones we taken of him that month, but I think it is fun to be consistent.

Twelve Months!!!

At our 12 mth check up Jacob weighted 23lbs 8 oz, was 32 in tall, and had a head circumference of 17.75 inches. He is doing so well. Our Pediatrician now wants us to see a Peds allergist, since he is now eating all table foods (yep,no baby foods). So we see him at the end of March. Hopefully he'll say he has or will soon out grow many of his food allergies.

He is walking, oops I mean running, everywhere. He really enjoys playing basketball. It is so cute, he carries the ball to the corner, drops it, picks it back up and runs to the hoop his babysitter got him for his birthday, slam dunks it, and then claps to cheer himself on. He has really enjoyed the last couple weeks videos such as praise baby, and Boz the bear. They are able to slow this little man down for a little while.

He is such a daddy's boy right now. He cries when Michael leaves and follows him to the door. He was searching the house the other day saying Dada Dada.

He is trying to be very independent. He won't eat unless we let him feed himself. Which as you can guess is very messy. He still loves his babysitter Terry, and doesn't really want to go home from her house. I think he enjoys playing with the other kids too much. He also now faces forward in his car seat, and loves to have mommy play his veggie tales CD in the car. With his independence he has also started throwing temper tantrums. I can't wait till he outgrows those.

Wow, a lot has changed in the Watts household this past year and we are loving every minute of it. We can't wait till this summer when we get to really enjoy the outdoors.

PS: Sorry about the layout, something went weird with blogger and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Prayers Please

So I am exhausted. I just got back from a short trip to Elkhart. My Great Grandma Allen (My daddy's grandma) is in the hospital. I took Mommy and Daddy up to see her. While she looked good, and was in good spirits, she was very tired and still not feeling very well. She was very sick Mommy said, but is on the mend. I tried to get her and all my other family to run out of the hospital with me. I don't really like being there, and I am sure they don't either. I am so glad that I got to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Allen and even my Great Aunt Stacey, even if it was in a Hospital.
Because of the long trip up there and it was going to be so late, Mommy made a phone call and we got to stay at Her old college roommate Jess's house. We didn't get a lot of time together, but I really enjoyed exploring their new house. Jessica's husband John is really funny. They will be great parents. They are expecting a new boy in 4 weeks. Thanks John and Jess for letting us stay.

So I am very worn out, I can barely keep my eyes open. Please remember to say a special prayer for my great grandma!

Jacob
