So feel I should tell you my Christmas mistake. I thought it would be a good idea to start the family tradition of letting Jacob open one present the night before and it being his Christmas PJ's for two reasons, to help get him excited for the next day and to allow him to sleep in New Christmas
PJs. Then After the present opening, I thought we would them tell him about the greatest gift of all the birth of Jesus. Sounds like a good little tradition huh? Yeah it didn't go down like that.
So it went more like this. Jacob is excited he gets to open up a present. He says
OOOOH, as he pulls out his
PJs. Then...
He throws them aside and signs and says More, More, More. Getting angrier because he isn't getting his way. He then proceeds to the Christmas Tree and starts grabbing gifts and bringing them over. We say no and put them back- they weren't for him anyway. We then try to calm him down as we read the
Christmas story (well actually we had a book with a CD that read it and played music). This was to the tune of Jacob Kicking and screaming. Yeah Not the best Idea I have every had. But Well, It is a memory.
So it went more like this. Jacob is excited he gets to open up a present. He says OOOOH, as he pulls out his PJs. Then...

You are cracking me up!!! That is a great tradtition! He will get the hang of it, may take a couple knock down drag outs, but the end result will be a great thing every year!
