getting bigger

So I have heard a few comments that I need to post all the pictures I have with the bear so far to see how Jacob compares in growth. Sometimes it doesn't seem like a drastic difference from one month to the next, but when you look at the first week he was born to the 6 mth picture. Boy has he grown. Time flies so fast.
6 mths old
5 mths old
4mths old with a crooked smile
3mths old (what a serious face)
2mths old (this bear is kinda cozy)
1mth old
(he went through a phase where every picture we have his head is tilted that way, he must have liked that side in my belly)

one week old (those bear feet look huge)

He will actually be 7 mths in 2 weeks. Won't he love it when I make him take his senior pictures next to this bear. (Not really)

Lots of adventures

So alot has happened since we last talked. The state fair took place and Mommy and all her roommates went to the Rascal Flatts concert. I am jealous. I love Rascal Flatts, probably because Mommy sings it to me all the time. We like to Karaoke together to Rascal Flatts. I think I am pretty good too. Here is a picture she took for me.

This next picture is of me having lots of fun at the state fair. I really enjoyed all the lights and animals. Mommy's friend Vickie is holding me while I check out the horse.

Some other exciting news is that I am going to have another Aunt. Uncle Matt is now engaged to "Aunt" Lindsey. I am kinda sad though. I thought Lindsey was my girlfriend. I really enjoy it when she babysits or when I can be around her, so I guess it is okay that she is going to be my Aunt. Congrats Matt and Lindsey. This picture is me trying to figure out what Lindsey is saying, especially holding the bridal magazine.

Finally, Last Thursday my daddy had a birthday so we got him lots of fun toys. Mommy had me pose for this picture to tell daddy one of his presents. He really like everything we got. His favorite was the colts tickets. I wish I could go but daddy is going to take Mommy. (a special thanks to Gigi who helped mommy get the tickets)

I then got to spend a couple days with both my grandparents. Mommy and daddy went to Cedar Point and left me with Grandma Evans and Grandma and Grandpa Sherck. I had so much fun playing and spending time with them. I was so wore out. I have been trying to catch up on sleep. Mommy and Daddy hope that I get back on my routine soon.

Park fun

So I am so far behind on updating my blog. Sorry.
Last week, Jacob and I went to visit some roomies from college (Jess my actual roomate for 3 years and Rachael, a floormate that took my spotwhen I got married). It was so much fun getting together. Rachael has a little girl, Kenley, so we thought it would be fun to go to the park with the kids. Soon the fun at the park turned into a photo shoot. With 3 cameras we soon had over 100 pictures. Here are a few fun pictures from the day. I would love to show you all of them, but well the blog isn't big enough. Jess with Kenley and Jacob
Jacob posing on the swing. I so wish I could get a good picture of those teeth.
Grass? and Leaves?
We had so much fun; Ate mexican (with out dairy), had slushies, and enjoyed just visiting and catching up. Kenley is getting so big. She is very mobile now, crawling and even trying to walk. Jacob is sitting up on his own and so wants to be independent but not quite there yet.
One not so fun detail is that Jacob has been kinda fussy. I am not sure if it is his teeth or if he is getting something like an ear infection. However, on the trip back from Wabash, Jacob cried continuously from Kokomo to Indianapolis. I was so ready to get out of the car when we arrived home. By that time he was asleep.
I'll try to post more pictures later, but not all 100 of them.

big boy

Five months old? Wow he has gotten so big. We take a picture by this bear each month. It is so fun to see how big he has gotten but it kinda is sad how fast it has gone. I have to admit it was a lot easier to take the bear pictures when he wasn't sitting up and I just had to prop him up. I know it will only get harder.
I really enjoy the stage he is in right now; He knows who I am and reaches for me, smiles and giggles, but yet I sometimes miss the tiny baby. I treasure each moment I have with him. He is so precious.
We started him on Rice cereal. Boy does he like it. It is a challenge. He is so excited about eating he wants to grab the bowl or the spoon or whatever and feed himself. It makes for one big mess. Although it is worth it, when he give me a big messy face grin because he gets to eat like a big boy.

Trip back home

We had a great weekend. Jacob and I went up with Lesa Rennick ( a friend from Church) and her mom (who is from Wyoming) up to My parents house and took them to Shipshewana. We took them to the Essenhause in Middlebury, and all over Shipshe. However we didn't get to see everything we talked about. They enjoyed it so much. We had fun sharing our home town with them.

Saturday after a day of Shopping in Shipshe. Michael came up. WE then as a family played Dance Dance Revolution. Michael and I even made a bet that I wouldn't sing a certain song on Karaoke if I didn't beat him, but Don't fear I can still sing my song on Karaoke.

Jacob did wonderful. His bottom tooth finally broke through. He was such a happy camper then, showing off his smile to everyone.

Sunday we had a family get together at the lake. We had a great time. We also had a shower for Aunt Bee and Uncle Rob, they will be having their little boy in September. We look forward to little Remmington coming to play with Jacob. The lake was a little cold, but Jacob loved kicking his little feet in it anyways.

The sad part is that Michael and I had to leave Jacob with my parents. It was so hard for me to leave Sunday night knowing it would be till Wednesday night and a 3 1/2 hr trip before I will see him again. Both Michael and I were tearful, but we know he will be just fine. Michael is going to St Louis for work and I will be working nights so we needed someone to take care of Jacob. My parents were really looking forward to the time with him. I am sure he will experience many new sites (The LaGRange county fair is this week).

Keep Michael and I in your prayers this week will be hard. Thanks

Tara

Great Weekend

I learned a new trick I can sit up, however sometimes I weeble woble and fall down. But I am getting better all the time.

The next picture is of me and Nicholas playing on the blanket at the park. We loved looking at the sky. Just the boys at the picnic

Boy, did I have a fun weekend. I went to my first wedding ever (well since I've been out of mommy's tummy). It was for our friends Aliza and Rob. They looked really pretty. I did very well. Mommy and Daddy were really proud of me. However, I tried to say AMEN for the preacher and Daddy decided to take me out. Bummer! At the reception, I wanted to boogie, so mommy and I danced, but Daddy was a party pooper.

Then Sunday after Church, Mommy and Daddy with our Friends John, Rachel, and Nicholas went to a park for a picnic. That was my first Picnic. We had very yummy food and a great time. Nicholas and I played while the grownups played their games. I hope we have more picnics.

thanks for checking up with me

July 4th

I hope you all had a wonderful Independence Day. Mommy and daddy told me I was going to see fireworks for the first time and I was so excited I wanted to stay up all day. Mommy wasn't excited because she had to watch me and worked the night before. Poor mommy didn't want to play with me much yesterday morning and kept trying to put me down for a nap. Finally Mommy talked to Daddy and he was able to come home early from work and play with me so Mommy could get some sleep.

After Mommy woke up and wasn't a grouch. Aunt Mary and Uncle Kolkie came over to have a grill out, and they took me to see fireworks. The grown ups thought I might be scared of the noise they make, but I wasn't. I kept watching them, but they made me a little sleepy. I was enjoying myself and then the next thing I knew I was in the car going home.

OH I think my mommy and daddy forgot to tell you that we found out I am allergic to Milk and peanuts. So poor mommy No Ice cream for you all summer!! I know I am a little stinker.

Happy 4th of July!

Love Jacob

PS Here are a few pics of my new toys that I love. Mommy got them for me at a garage sale
