Sunday times with friends

So What do you do on a beautiful Sunday Afternoon........

We'll after our naps, We called over some friends to play some games and eat some food. We had a lot of fun spending time with our good friends The Aouns. I especially enjoy playing with Nicholas, but I think his parents John and Rachel are pretty cool too. I have known them my whole life and while it has been short, I have spent a lot of time with them. I feel so comfortable with them that when Daddy said Take my shoes to mommy to put them on, I decided to take them to Rachel to put them on. She seemed like she could do the trick.
Here are a few pictures of our enjoyable afternoon.
Playing with the grown-up's corn hole.
After putting the bags in the hole a couple times I decided I would try and fit in the hole. I made everyone laugh.

Time for some golf
I was trying to show Nicholas how to do it
But his Daddy is a better teacher
Just relaxing!

Hope you are taking advantage of this wonderful weather!

FUN in the SUN

The last couple of days since mommy has been off and not sick I have really enjoyed many things. I like having my parents home. We have enjoyed many outdoor activities from bike rides, to going to the parks, to swimming in my pool. Mommy says I have kept her on her toes. Here are a few pictures mommy thought were cute of me in my pool. With her new camera she takes so many pictures, she says it is because it is so quick. You have to put on shades it is to bright out here
Mommy calls me a little fish, I could be in the pool all day

trying to put glasses on top of my head like mommy
I'm so silly.
A side note. I went poopy in the potty. My parents were so proud, but then I pee'd on the floor. Guess I don't quite get it. A little side note: I also went poopy in the bathtub right before I did in the potty. Mommy was not so happy about that.

A true American

I am a true American now, I went to my first Baseball Game and had a hot dog. We went to the Indians Game Monday night. It was so much fun. From the moment we entered the park, I was so impressed by the field and the people throwing the ball on it. I loved to peer through the fence and dance to the music. My parents say I was quite entertaining to watch. My family at the game
"Put me in coach"
Calling all my friends to tell them where I am at.
It was a late night for me and I went to bed a little after my bed time. Good thing that at the 7th inning stretch Mommy changed me into my baseball PJ's. I almost fell asleep a couple times but there was too much excitement I wanted to be involved in, but the carseat won on the ride home.

Me in my PJ's

It was so much fun. I met another little girl and played with her at the game and would spontaneously give her hugs. My parents thought I was so cute. Daddy tells me not to Hug and tell though.

A cool thing that happened to us was we got free tickets. Daddy went over to stand in line to get our tickets and mommy stood in front of the gate. Some people came over to mommy and I and gave us two free tickets, so daddy only had to buy one more ticket for me. It was also dollar menu night, so I got to enjoy all the traditional baseball game foods (except Peanuts) for only a dollar.

I hope I get to go back sometime soon!

5 years

Five years ago my parents said "I do."
Wow have things changed looking at their pictures. Mom and Dad say the biggest change you can't see in a picture. They say they love each other so much more today than they did 5 years ago, Can you believe that?

To celebrate their Anniversary, Daddy had plans for me to have a babysitter and he was going to take Mommy out to the Cheesecake factory, but Mommy was sick. He did the best to make the day special by ordering food to go. Daddy got Mommy a very nice bracelet, and Mommy got Daddy Rock Band so they can have date nights even more when I go to bed. Hopefully Mommy will feel better soon.

Rascal Time

Can you guess where I was at?
Yes, that is right, I went to the Rascal flatts concert with my college roommates on Saturday. It has become a tradition. The last four years we have all met up together and had a great time sharing our reunion with the gang. This is our first year that it wasn't at the state fair. Unfortunately, Lish (one of our other roommates) wasn't able to come with us. We missed her but we still had a great time. The only thing that wasn't so cool was the hour wait trying to get out of the Verizon parking lot.

All of us.
(Top right to left) Julie, Jess, Me
(bottom) Alicia (one of Jess's friends) and Rachael
Jess and I
Jess was my roommate all three years- the school paired us up and it seem to work out until Michael won my heart and I got married
It was a good thing we got along since the impressions we had of each other were tainted by camp memories when we were younger

Rachael and I

Even though she wasn't really my roommate, being my floor mate she was basically a roommate, and filled in when I got married

Julie and Me

She was my roommate my last year with the girls but lived across the hall the previous years

It is kinda funny, when we started this tradition I was the only one married, but now we are all married and have a total of 4 kids under 2 between all of us.

Thanks Girls for such a great time. I miss you so much, it is so much fun to see you. Thanks Jess and Rachael for leaving your newborns for a little while, I know it had to be hard, and a special thanks to our Husbands for not only letting us go but for watching the kids. You are all great guys!

taking grandma and grandpa to the museum

So with all the excitement of Grandma and Grandpa down, we had to think of something to do that was special. But As it has been in lately in Indiana, It was raining!!! So Malachi and I decided after his CT scan Friday Morning we would convince the grown ups to take us to the Children's museum. It wasn't too hard to convince everyone, except Grandpa. After working hard all week, he just wanted to relax. But he couldn't turn down my pouty lip. Here are a few pictures of our day, but my mother didn't get out the camera till late so there were slim pickings. I guess she was just having so much fun trying to keep up with me.

Malachi and I playing connect four with Uncle Chris and Aunt Rachel

I love this thing, whatever it is called

Malachi loved these vegetables he didn't ever want to leave.
Me, I'm not so keen on vegetables

We thought the stain glass was so cool. Look at all those colors
I think I am seeing double
More puzzles
I think we wore out the grandparents
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a great weekend. And Thanks Uncle Chris and Aunt Rachel, Malachi and Ruth for great company! I had so much fun!

fun in the park with friends

So this past week, Grandpa and Grandma Sherck came to visit me and Grandpa came to help Mommy and daddy fix some things around our house. He is a really good fixer-up-er. I hope to learn his skill someday. I know it won't come from my daddy for sure. Anyways, I don't care what brought them here, I was really excited they came. They made me so excited I couldn't stop running around the house. Then on Thursday night, Uncle Chris, Aunt Rachel, Malachi and Ruth came for a slumber party. Before the start of the party, Malachi and I convinced Grandma and Grandpa and our parents to take us to the park. We had so much fun here are a few pictures of our park date.I am serious about sliding
Grandma and Ruth by the pond
our family on the jungle gym
We decided to race.

Malachi Swinging:
He loves it, I only like it for a little while and then I want to get down and run. My mommy and daddy think I need to learn from my cousin on how to relax, but I am teaching Ruth to be just as busy as me.

Malachi coming down the slide:
I don't think he was ready for the picture

The Grandbabies (or so Grandma calls us) with the Grandparents

Wow, what is down there. I AM ON TOP OF THE WORLD!
Climbing again
All three of us swinging.
Ruth really enjoyed it

**Sorry for all the pictures and for some of the quality. It was hard trying to figure out the perfect setting when the sun was setting and shinning right at us ***
