Christmas Round 4

So Saturday, December 27 we had round 4 of Christmas. It was my family Christmas. All My brothers and their significant others and my niece and nephew all gathered at my parents house, despite the icy travels every one made it safe on Friday night. Jacob must have know it was going to be another Christmas because he woke up early again. However this time we had more people to wait for before Christmas started. Once everyone was awake, around 9:30. We all ventured down to see what Santa had brought.
It is so fun seeing Jacob at Christmas. He gets so excited over every gift he opens, even if it is just clothes, he always says OOOOH! Our tradition of opening only one at a time was a little long for him and he decided to go and play a little bit with his new toys in between his turns. Sometimes it was a little rough to get him back to open his gifts. Here are a few photos of our day.
My Brother Brian and Carrie waiting to open gifts as the little ones distributed them

Jacob playing with his new toy that Grandpa made (don't ask me where he lost his clothes).
We saw a version of this at the Children's museum in Indy and Malachi really enjoyed this so Grandpa made this for the 2 little boys. It is personalized with their own names.

My brother Matt and His finance Lindsey who are displaying the gifts Dad made all the couples. He is such a crafty guy.

Ruthie trying out her baby bed that Grandpa made her

Jacob and Malachi got little card tables, and Jacob loves his. He wants to eat every meal at it. Will be found trying to carry it all around, upstairs, downstairs, where
ever.
It was a great Christmas. Both Michael and I really enjoyed our new found freedom over the holidays not having to rush to gathering and also worry about long hours at work. It felt more like the Holidays should be, with lots of quality family time. It was so great to experience this Christmas with Jacob.

the 26th of Christmas

so after sleeping in and enjoying my new toys from Christmas, I was in a little better mood, and we headed to Great Grandma Sherck's House for Christmas on the 26th. I still wasn't myself, but I had a good night. The roads were really icy so some of the family couldn't make it and we really missed them, but we have fun with the crew that was there. Here are a few pictures for your pleasure
I am opening up my gift from the gift exchange and showing my 3rd cousins Bo, and Owen. I got a sleepover set and Car slippers. I love it, and can't wait to use it. (It will be great for staying at Grandma and Grandpas- If we ever get our own house)
Sometimes the best toys are not toys at all but the box they come in. We enjoyed this for quite a while till the grown-ups put it away.

Here I am making my cheesy smile As I open up my handmade pillow from Great Grandma. I like to take it to bed with me, and Mommy and daddy find me making animal noises in my crib as I play with my pillow. The picture isn't very good, but It is a pillow with a barn on it that has pockets for a small stuffed horse, pig, and chicken.

Christmas Day-

Santa was so good too me. We opened Christmas presents early and then headed to Great Grandma and Grandpa Allen's. There I ate lots of yummy food, but I was a bit grouchy. I cried and screamed most of the time I was there, till finally I gave in an took a nap. What can I say I just wanted to play with my new toys, and I was tired from waking mommy and Daddy up so early as well as had a bilateral Ear infection. After my nap, Mommy and Daddy thought I would be in a good mood so we went to see Grandma and Grandpa Evans, but they were wrong, so I had to end the night with going to bed early. Here are a few pictures from our day. Great Grandpa Allen opening a gift from us

Great Grandma Allen opening our gift

I got a tool set from them, and I was quiet for a little bit, as I played with it. It is one of my favorite toys. I love to build things

I am opening my Art station Christmas Morning

I got this huge sucker Christmas morning (It is a cookie, Marshmallow sucker) and I insisted that I eat it before anything else could happen, so I enjoyed it the entire time we were opening up presents- Maybe that is why I was so grouchy the rest of the day- I had too much of a sugar high

Santa brought me a bunch of cool stuff, This is what I saw when I woke up. I love my race track, I played with it for 20 minutes straight.

Christmas fun

So last Sunday we had an Ugly Sweater party for our youth party. Needless to say we had a lot of fun I also thought I would post a picture of our attire for Church on sunday before Christmas.
Jacob wasn't feeling well and ended up running a fever of 103.1 later on this night, so picture time was not fun

Trying to take a family Picture.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas

guess where we were last weekend

so after seeing Kathy Lee Gifford at the East Noble Play on Friday night (it was a world premeire for a high school musicial)- pretty great for my employer, Michael and I escaped to finish up our Christmas shopping on saturday and ended up in Indy. After a relaxing night away from Jacob we met some friends and attended the colts game on Sunday. It was so much fun!

I actually took this picture- Great zoom huh? :)

Afterwards we got to go down to the field and a couple players (Keiaho, Giordano) and coaches talked to the FCA group. Yesterday was FCA day and we got the tickets through my dad's FCA group.
It was a great weekend, but I was glad to come home to my little boy and he gave me the greatest welcome. It is great being a mom.
Don't feel bad for him, he was spoiled by his grandparents all weekend, and got to go see the Children's musical at church. He felt he needed some spot light- so I hear, and went up on stage to meet Grandma who helped conduct the musical.

Remmy (my 2rd cousin) riding my horse- we are pretty good friends we go to the same babysitter. Remmy allows me to pull him all over the place

Ruth won the award for most festive. Isn't she cute

Thanksgiving

Bo really knows how to be thankful. He got some desert and shared it with Owen and me in our little play house. We had Grandma Sherck's Thanksgiving at the church. Then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Allen's to enjoy another round of thanksgiving dinner.
We had so much fun spending time with our families.
