While the parents are away

So Last Friday night, Michael redeemed the date he won by beating me in the March Madness tourney (it is a tradition we have had since we got married). This is the first year he has won, so I had to plan a date just for him and find a babysitter.

Michael isn't really a sit still kinda guy. He is very active. So for our date I took him to the Rock climbing wall in Brownsburg called the Crag. We had a blast. I was a little nervous, as I had to belay Michael and each time he would come down my feet would come off the ground. Good thing I was anchored in. Afterwards, We went to a place called Wings etc. It was fun and the food was great. I think even better than BWW. It was good to get out, just the two of us. Michael and I had a great night.

Jacob seem to too. My friend and coworker Vicki came to babysit. When we got home, she showed us these pictures she took.

Boy, was she initiated with Dinner. I bet she had fun cleaning that up.

How precious is that little boy.

Vicki said while she was cleaning up his giant mess from dinner, he just grabbed a book and sat in front of the sliding glass doors reading it.

He also peed in the potty for her. I was so proud, but kinda disappointed too. He hasn't ever peed in the potty for me. He has for Michael though. (Just so you don't think we are crazy trying to train our 15 mth old to be potty trained, but we aren't actively trying right now just trying to get him use to the idea of sitting on it since boys are suppose to be harder to train).

Thanks Vicki, you are wonderful!

These last couple pictures I thought were cute and I just thought I would show them off.

Don't worry he wasn't eating the chalk

Jacob is such an outdoor little boy. He loves sidewalk chalk, the swing set, my flowers, dirt and mulch, and the neighbor girl. The other day when he was coloring on the sidewalk I looked at him and cried inside a little. I think he is starting to lose his baby look and getting a little boy look. Don't get me wrong, I am loving every minute of him growing up, but it is going so fast. I feel I blink and he changes. I guess he is just teaching me to treasure every moment in life.
