Boys will be boys

So it has been a little while since I last updated, but we have been really busy in the Watts household. Mostly I have kept my mommy and daddy on their toes. I have become a little mischievous as I experience many new things. First I got to play in the snow the first time. I wasn't sure what the white cold stuff was, and mommy just sat me down in it. I tried to crawl but it was hard to crawl in the white stuff and with all the clothes my parents made me wear, so I started to cry. But mommy came to help me and then I started to enjoy it. I really like to lick the cold stuff that stuck to my gloves.

I then decided my next duty was to get into everything I could before Christmas. So I decided to get into the chocolates mommy and Daddy got from Great Grandma and Grandpa Lehman. I thought the chocolate was so yummy. It was a little sticky though. I got it all over the carpet and my clothes and of course my face and hands. Mommy caught me before I could make too much damage so my task was not complete. I decided that when daddy was following me around that I would close the door on him when I went into the bathroom. Daddy thought it was kinda cute so he let me have my privacy for a little bit. Mommy then open the door with daddy to find me really enjoying the toilet paper. I really enjoy the bathroom, how can you not when there is a swimming pool and a roll of white TP to play with.
I still wasn't finished. I then decided to clear all the books off the bookshelf. I thought I was helping mommy reorganize it. It was really hard work, so I decided to rest, and finish my work after a couple seconds of resting.
I actually helped though. In my clearing the books, mommy found a gift card that she had given daddy a couple years back that daddy lost when he was using it as a book mark. Mommy then was a little sneaky and placed it in Daddy's stocking this year.

Mommy said I have to include this last picture. That doesn't look like a boy that would get into trouble, now does it? Mommy and daddy got a new camera for themselves for Christmas (as you can see) and they have been taking pictures of me like crazy, learning how to use their new camera.

Oh I almost forgot to tell you, on the day after Christmas I started walking. I am still unsure of myself, and pretty much prefer to crawl, but I was walking about 4 ft between mommy and uncle Matt. My parents are excited for me, but yet they are very scared. Who wouldn't be look at the damage I can do just by crawling around.

Love, Jacob

Who's the Crazy Guy with the beard and red suit?

Today Mommy and Daddy took me to see Santa. I don't know what to think of him, I was a little tired due to all of the Christmas shopping. In fact the picture is of me right before I had enough of the big guy. I promptly started crying untill daddy came and got me. Hopefully Santa doesn't hold it against me in two weeks. I want some sweet toys. Hope the the next two weeks find all of my friends in good cheer. I love you all.

Jacob

P.S.--I enjoyed the oversized toys more than Santa

Thanksgiving

Here are some lovely pictures from my long Thanksgiving weekend. I went up with Mommy to Northern Indiana. We spent Thanksgiving Day with the Yeltons (which is my great grandmothers side). Above are pictures of me with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Allen (Daddy's grandparents). Mommy took me over to see them on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I love exploring new places. I don't mind being held but I like to explore.

This is our four generation picture on thanksgiving. Mommy, Grandma Sherck, ME, and Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Lehman

This is me after eating too much Turkey. Actually I had baby food, sweet potato casserole and loved it

After Mommy went shopping all day on Friday and I stayed home to play with Grandpa Sherck and Uncle Brian I got to see my Grandma and Grandpa Evans and then my 3rd cousin Owen came over to play. I love playing with other kids. He isn't too much older than I am. He is now 1yr. Before you know it I will be celebrating my 1st birthday.
Hope you enjoyed these few pictures from Thanksgiving weekend.

Our 9mth old

So last Wednesday Jacob turned 9mths old. I can not believe it has been that long already. It just feels like yesterday I was throwing up everyday and anticipating the little one in my tummy. Anyways, we have a growing boy, meeting all his developmental milestones. He is now 21 lbs 4 oz, and 29 3/4 inches long. The doctor was proud of him and stated he is doing really well. He has had a runny nose for a little while and a cough. I had thought it was just teething but it hasn't gone away. He hasn't had a fever or anything, but I asked the pediatrician about it. She felt it could be teething but tis the season for colds and sinus infections, so she started him on antibiotics just in case. He loves the amoxicillin (which I use to call bubble gum medicine).
Jacob is starting to wave, by and hello, and loves to bang on things. With that we have channeled him into giving fives. He loves it. The other day I was getting ready for work and Michael walked in and he waved Hi, then when Michael picked him up he turned and waved bye to me. It was so cute. It is kinda sad though, that he realizes (or so it seems) that when daddy comes home, it is mommy's time to leave.
I had to tear up a little bit last night as I was putting away his 3-6mth and even some 6-9 mth clothes away. He is growing so fast. Oh but how much fun he is now.

Rubber Duckie

So Jacob has always enjoyed his bath (well except for the first one), but lately he absolutely LOVES his bath now. He is so cute to watch in the tub. He has discovered how to splash. He has been making little splashes with his hands for a while, but he really has learned how to SPLASH! The last couple of baths I believe he has gotten about 50% of the water that he had in the tub outside of the tub or on Mommy and Daddy (so it seems). He just giggles. He is so fascinated with water. We put bubbles in his bath this last time, and he was so intrigued. He investigated the bubbles for quite some time, then continued to splash the bubbles.

I don't have new pictures to post because of the camera issue, so I thought I might post a couple old ones, since that is mostly want viewers like to see anyways.

"Seriously Mom, Can we stop taking pictures so I can enjoy my bath in peace."

All nice and clean.
He hasn't been this happy getting out of the tub lately. He throws a tantrum (kicking and screaming) when bath time is over. Oh how fun toddler years will be. I am sure he gets that from his Father. I was never like that as a child.

On a side note:
(get it, it is on the side)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MALACHI!!!

Halloween

So on Halloween, Michael and I dropped the camera and didn't get very many good pictures. The camera is now broke so it may be a while before we update the blog with pictures. It was just another thing to add to the Halloween chaos.

I watched Malachi and Jacob on Halloween during the day. They were a riot. Jacob was Malachi's Shadow and the two of them were in everything. I will tell you little story to let you know about my day. So I had given Malachi a cookie, and he had been eating it. To pass the time I put them in the covered wagon below and took them for a ride around the house. When I peeked in to see how they were doing in the wagon. I saw Jacob chewing on something. I immediately pulled back the covering (which is why it isn't in place for the pictures). I then found that Malachi had given Jacob part of his cookie. I got it out of Jacobs mouth and went to wash my hands. While washing my hands, I heard Jacob choking/gagging. I ran around the corner to find my son covered in Vomit (as well as the wagon). I picked up my son and took him to the sink to hose him off. I went back to get Malachi and found Malachi decided to taste the vomit. OH, how gross! I was about to scream. Anyways, Here are a few pictures from the day.

"Mom, enough pictures of me with this silly hat,
I am leaving and taking your pumpkin with me."

"Howdy, ya' all"

Isn't he the cutest little cowboy?

Notice the little boo boo he got on his check that day at church while I was in my bible study.

Hope you had a wonderful Halloween.
